GETTING STARTED
	Play the included .nes file in an NES emulator of your choice or on actual hardware through a flash cartrigde, such as an Everdrive or Powerpack.

	To begin, choose to start a NEW GAME, input a PASSWORD to CONTINUE, or listen to our BGM player with the CREDITS.
	Two players? In standard arcade fashion, player 2 can join once the game has started.

OBJECTIVE
	Help Kaylee and her brother, Justice, collect all of the GOLD NUGGETS on a LEVEL.
	Doing so will reveal an EXIT ROPE which leads to the next LEVEL.

GAMEPLAY SCREEN
	Top-Left – Current LEVEL's DEPTH or HEIGHT
	Top-Center – Collected DIAMONDS & Remaining TIME (time resets with respawn)
	Top-Right – SCORE (collective in 2-player mode)
	
	Bottom-Left – Player 1's GOLD & Remaining LIVES
	Bottom-Right – Player 2's GOLD & Remaining LIVES
	
CONTROLS
	D-PAD – Run, Climb, and Crouch
	(Press UP when near a ROPE to grab it)
	A BUTTON – Jump
	DOWN + A – Drop from a PLATFORM
	START – Pause, Continue, Confirm SELECTION
	PLAYER 2: Press START or A to join a game in progress.

	Out of LIVES? There has to B some way to steal one from a friend…

DIAMONDS & HIDDEN CHAMBERS
	Each LEVEL contains one SECRET SWITCH, hidden in the shadows; trigger it to gain access to a DIAMOND.
	Collect 8 DIAMONDS to unlock a HIDDEN CHAMBER full of GOLD.

LIVES & CONTINUES
	Collecting a certain amount of GOLD will grant an EXTRA LIFE.
	Once out of LIVES, you will receive a GAME OVER.
	Afterward, press P1 START on the CONTINUE screen to continue from the most recent LEVEL, albeit without your collected SCORE, GOLD, or DIAMONDS.

SCORE & DIFFICULTY
	Play quickly, with a friend, and at a higher DIFFICULTY to receive the best SCORE.
	Take a screenshot when you see the CAMERA icon to record your accomplishment.
	DIFFICULTY setting determines total number of LIVES, LIFE accrual rate, and SCORE values.

	The full version of The Cowlitz Gamers' 2nd Adventure will be sold and distributed (in benefit of the aforementioned charity) by John Hancock of Cowlitz Gamers. The game will feature a foldout manual / poster and will come packed in a high-quality box printed by Josh Byerly of Wafflefoot.
	
	It will also feature:
	* Over 50 screens of gameplay
	* New enemies & environments
	* New music tracks
	* Two more difficulty settings
	* Unlockable characters
